Food & Beverage Guidelines

Butte Community Fitness Foundation Food and Beverage Guidelines
Food

The mission of the Butte Community Fitness Foundation is to promote improvement in the physical and mental well-being of our community. This includes encouraging healthy food and beverage choices. We understand that food at festivals needs to be convenient for vendors and buyer. In order to accommodate our values and vendor convivence we, as a foundation have agreed that foods served by outside companies must comply with menu guidelines:

  1.  options consist of primarily ‘whole foods’
  2.  options should be low in sugar
  3.  options should be minimally processed to un-processed
example: Sysco brand pre packaged frozen French fries are unacceptable

All menus are subject to foundation/SnoFlinga committee approval.

For the purposes of this foundation, the following definitions apply:

  • whole foods: foods that are as close to their natural form as possible.
  • low sugar: minimal amounts of sugar or sugar containing ingredients are added during preparation.

Alcoholic Beverages

The Butte Community Fitness Foundation has agreed to serve only locally branded beer and spirits. Our foundation prides itself on local community engagement and development. For this purpose we choose to only provide alcohol which is produced in our area. This includes breweries and distilleries within close proximitry to Butte, MT. This does not include domestic types of alcohol. This also does not include other forms of alcohol which are not produced locally.
